Two things decide which leg press suits you: how much room you have and how heavy you train.
A vertical leg press has you lying on your back and pressing the weight straight up. It is the smallest and lowest-cost option: the Powerline PVLP156X vertical leg press needs about 115 × 120 cm of floor and takes up to 182 kg. A compact leg press like the Body-Solid GCLP100 adds a calf raise and a 450 kg capacity in a frame 170 cm long. The Body-Solid GLPH1100B leg press and hack squat gives you two machines on one heavy-commercial frame, also rated to 450 kg. For a busy commercial floor, the Body-Solid SGLP500 45° commercial leg press takes 680 kg on an extra-wide footplate.
If you own a Powerline P2X or Fitness Factory EXM1 home gym, its PLPX or EXMLP1 leg press attachment bolts on and runs off the gym's 72.5 kg weight stack at a 2:1 ratio, giving up to 145 kg of resistance (190 kg with a stack upgrade).

Neither is better; they do different jobs. A barbell squat trains your legs along with your back and core, but it takes good technique and a rack. A leg press supports your back, so you can load your quads, glutes and hamstrings heavily with less skill, less strain on the lower back and no spotter. Many lifters use both, or rely on the leg press when squats aren't an option.
A hack squat stands you upright under shoulder pads on an angled sled, so it feels closer to a squat and works the quads hard. A leg press has you seated or lying and pushing a footplate away, which is easier to learn and easier on the back. The Body-Solid GLPH1100B does both on one frame.
The three Body-Solid leg presses take Olympic (2″) plates. The Powerline PVLP156X has 1″ Standard posts; fit Olympic plates with adapter sleeves. Plates are sold separately.
