I was initially only after a basic squat stand but I went with the PMP150 multi-press rack for a few reasons;

- 4 feet are much more stable than 2.
- Squat stands rarely adjust low enough for bench press so they're often useless for anything other than squats.
- Barely cost more with a Father's Day special of $350.

Mass-manufactured equipment like this often has a few advantages over smaller companies; with such large production runs, more work usually goes into the designs. Also, the value is often hard to match; if you look around, it's rare to see free delivery for gym equipment as it's usually both heavy and bulky.

Negatives;
- Build quality isn't the finest.
- The rack posts are not quite vertical, even after adjusting the crossmember to improve it somewhat.
- Had to file a bolt on the J-hook so it didn't scratch the vertical posts when inserting it.
- Had to countersink the plastic protectors a little more to stop the bolts protruding and scratching my barbell.

If you're willing to make these little adjustments, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a stronger, more versatile rack at this price range.
