• More than abs: also performs triceps extensions with ease.
• Built to last: a sturdy 2″×3″ four-side-welded mainframe; lightweight and easy to move.
• Takes Standard or Olympic plates and is backed by a 10-year frame warranty.

Achieve a six-pack and toned, tight obliques in less than half the time of many other systems. The curved back is specially designed to place you in an automatic pre-stretch position, and the full-range motion adjusts from 30° back of centre to 30° forward of centre for comfort and efficiency. The back pad is infinitely adjustable for a customised, safe workout no matter your size, and you can perform triceps extensions in addition to your abdominal work. For smooth operation and freedom of movement, the ball-bearing pulley is both extra-wide and sealed. It’s lightweight and easily moved (some assembly required).

How is this different from a seated ab crunch bench?
The PAB21X is plate-loaded: you add weight plates for progressive resistance through a full 30°-to-30° range, with a curved pre-stretch pad for a stronger contraction. Our Best Fitness BFAB20B is the comfortable seated, mostly bodyweight option instead.

What plates does it take?
Both Standard and Olympic weight plates, which are sold separately.

What exercises can I do?
Full-range ab crunches that also hit the obliques, plus triceps extensions.

Does it need assembly?
Some assembly is required. It’s lightweight (14 kg) and easy to move around.

Is it suitable for a gym or just home?
It carries a light-commercial rating, so it suits studios and clinics as well as home gyms.

What warranty does it come with?
A 10-year frame warranty and 1-year parts warranty.

Which ab bench is right for me?
The AB Mantis is a seated crunch and knee-raise machine, so you train your abs without getting on the floor. The Powerline PAB21X is plate-loaded, so you can add resistance as you get stronger. For classic sit-ups and crunches, the Best Fitness BFAB10B folds away and adjusts to 15°, 20° or 25°, and the Powerline PAB139X ab board has a fixed 18° decline. Compare them on our weight benches page.

Where does it ship from and how is it delivered?
It ships free from our Adelaide warehouse (Woodville North, SA 5012) in a single box. Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days, with delivery typically 3–8 business days to metropolitan areas and 8–12 business days to regional and rural areas.
